| ANOVA JOINT VENTURE COMPANY HOLDS A CONFERENCE ON MAREK ‘S DISEASE IN CHICKENS |
(Anova) - Within past months, the Marek in chicken has appeared in some provinces of the Mekong River Delta. It has such a serious damage on poultry farms.
In order to help farmers to prevent this transmitted disease, on 23th December, 2007, Anova joint – venture Co. held a conference to improve farmers’ knowledge about Marek disease in the town of Long Khanh (Dong Nai Province). In this event, farmers asked and got feedbacks about how to keep away from this disease. There were about 250 owners of breeding farms who live in the town of Long Khanh and other neighbor towns in this meeting. They were provided not only general causes but also some phenomenon of Marek. To prevent this disease from spreading, farmers should select bred chickens which has guarantee and are injected carefully. Besides that, incubators should be cleaned regularly and antiseptic before hatching. Furthermore, while raising, farmers should clean the farm periodically and carefully in order to avoid breaking out and spreading widely. For further concern, ANOVA Co. will continue to hold more meetings in various communes of Dong Nai Province and neighboring provinces such as Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc. |
